White Walls – MEAC Artists Update

White Walls – MEAC Artists Update

Every Tuesday from 10am until midday community members meet to create, inspire, learn new skills and enjoy each other’s company.

While Kaye Poulton, who facilitates the class, enjoys a well earned holiday, landscape and floral artist Merrilyn Ward, has kindly offered her skills and enthusiasm to guide the group through September.

We always offer a warm welcome to any community members wishing to join us for fun and creativity in a wide variety of media. Cost to attend class $5.00 all inclusive.

The MEAC gallery space now has sparkling white walls. Huge thanks to Mimi Leung (for suggesting the change) and to Dery Christianity and Mimi for their help in actually painting the walls.
The first exhibition on the white walls were paintings by Sharron Handley, manager of MEAC and a talented artist, and Kaye Poulton ceramic artist and MEAC gallery curator.

Now showing is “Bugs” by Mimi Leung after a very successful opening, this showing will finish on October 19.
The following exhibition is “Celebrate Me”, artworks by young students of Denise Hargraves, of Le Clerc, which will open October 20th at 6pm.

“Mooroopna Town” will be our final showing for 2017, these new works are well under way. Participant, Brad is inspired by views from the window, Matt offers a whimsical look at life and Cath’s world is one of colour, imagination and freedom of expression. Lelly looks at the natural environment in all its moods.
